A spray tan is a customized, sunless way to achieve a bronzed, healthy-looking glow without exposing your skin to UV rays. At Sweetly Bronzed, your tan is applied entirely by hand using a controlled airbrush technique, allowing your artist to sculpt an even, skin-first finish that complements your features.

Your color develops through DHA, a sugar-derived ingredient that reacts with the amino acids on the surface of your skin. Think of how an apple changes color when it meets air — it gently darkens over time. That same process is what creates your soft, sun-kissed bronze.     GLYCERIN

At Sweetly Bronzed, every spray tan is made just for you — never one-shade-fits-all. Our Spray Tan Artists specialize in color theory, using your natural depth, eye color, hair color, and natural features as a guide when mixing your custom color so your bronze always looks beautifully balanced and natural on your skin. With our wide range of blendable undertones, your artist can create a bronze that aligns perfectly with your complexion and desired result.

Each tan is applied entirely by hand using our precise airbrush technique, giving you an even, smooth, skin-first finish with no streaks or harsh lines. Paired with our rapid-rinse formula, you can shower in just a few hours — reducing transfer, minimizing post-tan mistakes, and ensuring your glow develops naturally.

Our solution is infused with hydrating, calming ingredients like hyaluronic acid and Vitamin B to keep your tan soft, smooth, and even from the moment it’s applied through the final fade (with a little TLC of course). Prep + After Care

  • Prep your skin the night before.

    • Shower, shave, and thoroughly exfoliate at least 12 hours before your appointment. Use a spray-tan–safe soap, exfoliate with a non-oily scrub (we love exfoliating gloves!), and skip any lotion or oils after your shower so your skin is clean, fresh, and ready to glow.

    Arrive with clean, product-free skin.

    • No lotion, deodorant, perfume, oils, or makeup. Any residue can prevent your tan from developing evenly and can shorten the life of your tan.

    Keep your skin cool and dry beforehand.

    • Heat, workouts, and long hot showers can alter your skin’s pH and prevent your tan from developing seamlessly.

    Plan for your rinse window.

    • Your bronzer will need to be rinsed off 2–4 hours after your appointment, depending on your desired depth. Your spray tan artist will recommend the perfect time.

  • Wear loose, long, dark clothing after your appointment.

    • Choose soft, breathable fabrics that won’t rub or leave marks while your bronzer develops.

    Keep your skin dry until your first rinse.

    • Avoid water, sweating, rain, or touching your skin. Any moisture or contact can imprint or streak your developing tan.

    Rinse at the time your Spray Tan Artist recommends.

    • Use lukewarm water and rinse until the water runs clear and the bronzer is completely off. Gently use your hands to help wash away the cosmetic bronzer — no soap for this first rinse.

    Avoid all products for the first 12 hours.

    • Anything applied too soon will prevent your tan from fully developing.

    Moisturize twice a day starting the next day.

    • Use a simple, water-based, spray-tan safe lotion morning and night to keep your skin hydrated and extend the life of your glow.
